Thomas Golf AT 91 Putter Review

Thomas Golf Brand Putter (model AT 91) Reviews

Tester 1
When it comes to putters, the Thomas Golf AT-91 is one product that is focused on MOI (moment of inertia) so that the putter will stay on target from off center hits. Crafted with an aluminum body, and paired with two heavy weight bars. The AT-91 has a lot of weight added where golfers need it most: the extreme outer part of the heel and toe. This gives the putter the best of two worlds, weight positioning for a high MOI, as well as catering to golfers who prefer to feel the head through the stroke. The AT-91 offers an outstanding feel and better control, compared to other traditional putters.
The importance of alignment makes the AT-91 a very good choice. Perhaps one of the most noticeable key features is having a white dot that lines up with the main alignment bar when your eyes are positioned directly over the putter head and target line.Additionally, the squared weight bars and wide channel make it possible to frame a golf ball properly in a 3D view, which is very helpful when a golfer needs to properly visualize the target line. What makes the AT-91’s weight bars in particular, an amazing part of this product, is the fact that it is the first of its kind to be designed with not only flat top weight bars, but flat sides as well. This provides an improved alignment feature second to none.
The AT 91 has a red striking plate insert providing the feel for distance control. It is made of high grade CNC-milled aluminum and has a machined face. Golfers using the AT-91 can also greatly benefit from the multi-step, black stealth finish, which not only looks sleek and refined but also serves an additional purpose. While using this putter, golfers do not have to worry about glare back into their eyes. This same stealth finish also makes it possible for long-lasting use as well as durability.
From its physical appearance to the sturdy materials, the Thomas Golf AT-91 Putter is an outstanding choice.

I recently bought the AT91 mid-length belly putter from Thomas Golf and it is easily the best putter I’ve ever owned.  Anchoring the putter against the belly really does help a lot to ensure properly swinging the putter like a pendulum.  It takes the shoulders out of the stroke which felt odd but overall, I felt more confident knowing that the club was anchored.  With some extra trust now in my putting game, I’ve only had one 3-putt in my last two rounds which must be some kind of record for me.
The putter is center shafted which works well for me because I like to take the putter head back along the target line and keep it there on the follow through.  The head is made from an extra light aluminum body which is fitted with two much heavier bars on the toe and heel.  This perimeter weighting helps on off center hits and also helps ensure a smooth straight back and through putting motion.  The bars are squared instead of rounded which also helps with alignment.  There is a small dot on the top line of the club that can be aligned with the line on the flange to ensure your eyes are over the line of the putt.

The AT91 features a Computer Numeric Controlled cut face which results in the flattest possible putter face to ensure solid and consistent contact.  The face is an insert made of red aluminum and I found it to be softer than I expected which I like.  The putter is treated with a nice, black finish that helps eliminate glare and provides extra durability.
Overall, this putter was exactly what I was looking for.  It is center shafted, heavy, and fitted properly to anchor against my stomach.  Thanks, Thomas Golf!

Thomas Golf Brand Putter (model AT 90) Review
The AT-90 is a great new putter design from the people at Thomas Golf.  The club is similar in appearance to their AT-91 but features some design differences that make a large impact on the way the putter feels.
Like the AT-91, the putter is a center-shafted mallet head design that features the square weighted bars, a stealth black finish and a red aluminum striking plate insert.  The major difference with the AT-90 is the actual placement of the weighted bars in proximity to the putter's sweet spot.  With this putter, the bars are closer to the center of the putter face and you can really feel the extra support that you get when striking your putt. In scientific terms, the bars provide an extra high moment of inertia, which translates to better roll.  The bars also do a great job of framing the golf ball, making it easier to hit the sweet spot of the putter face.
The other great features I mentioned, really help separate this putter from its competitors.  The stealth black finish eliminates any distracting glare or reflection when taking your putt.  The red striking place provides a smooth impact with the golf ball that will give you a truer roll and greater distance control.  The center-shafting makes this putter perfect for golfers who putt with a square-to-square, pendulum-like putting stroke.
All-in-all, this putter exceeds expectations with its great look and advanced technological design.  The AT-90 is available in both a left and right-handed version.  It's also available in different putter lengths, including the traditional, mid-length (belly) and long style.
If you're looking to take your putting game to the next level, the AT-90 may be the putter for you.  It has a ton of great features that are geared toward better alignment and truer roll.  As with all Thomas Golf clubs, you can get the AT-90 fully customized to your specific body and swing type

Thomas Golf Brand Putter (model AT 92) Reviews

The AT-92 is intelligently designed by Thomas Golf, combining for the first time, a center-shafted blade putter with their squared weight bars.  The squared weight bars are featured on other popular Thomas Golf designs, the AT-90 and AT-91 mallet putters, but never before on a blade.
The AT-92 has a lightweight aluminum head with an attractive stealth black, non-reflective finish.  The putter face features a red aluminum striking plate that provides great feedback to your hands, for added feel and distance control.  The putter is center-shafted making if perfect for golfers who putt with a square-to-square, pendulum-like putting stroke.  When combined with the mid-length (belly) or long style, this putter is an obvious choice for golfers who wanted to build confidence and consistency in their putting game.

As with all Thomas Golf clubs, the focus for the AT-92 putter is on accuracy.  The design of the AT-92 putter naturally aids in the alignment of your stroke.  First off, you'll notice when looking down over the putter, the alignment aid that sits on the top of the club.  As the dot and line align, you'll know that your club is parallel to the putting surface and that the your eyes are correctly placed over the ball.  This insures that you putter face will have an optimal MOI (moment of inertia), sending the ball on a truer roll.  Having your eyes directly over the golf ball will aid you in reading your putt and sending the ball on the proper line.  When the dot and line do not align, you'll know that your putter is not set up properly and that you need to re-adjust.
The square weight bars are another great feature of the AT-92 putter.  The bars add weight and support to the perimeter of the putter's sweet spot, which does a few things.  First, it eliminates the twisting of the club face during impact, which insures your ball travels straight.  Second, it reduces the bad effects of an off-center putt.  The bars also provide perpendicular alignment aid, that gives your eyes another point of reference to help square your putter face to the hole.

The AT-92 is a putter packed with technology in a small package.  The putter is not only an amazing alignment aid, but also provides superior feel off the face.  The AT-92 is available in both a left and right-handed setup and can be made in traditional, mid-length (belly) or long putter style.

I recently tried out Thomas Golf's AT92 putter and while I wasn't at first attracted to its aesthetics, it performed quite well which is ultimately what's most important.  It is a center-shafted blade style putter but it surprisingly is heavier than many mallet style models.  The putter head weighs in at 386 grams and includes weight bars on the toe and heel to enhance the perimeter weighting of the club.  This helps ensure consistent contact on off center hits and also aids in swinging the putter in a straight back and through pendulum motion.
Similar to Thomas Golf's AT90 and AT91 putters, the AT92 also features heavier weight bars on the heel and toe of the club although they are not as large since this model is a blade.  There is a small line and dot for proper alignment but I ended up simply using the square club face to aim.  The AT92 also features a high grade CNC milled red aluminum striking plate insert and the putter head is finished with a pretty, stealth coating that reduces glare from the sun and provides some extra durability.

My experiments with the AT92 were done mostly with short to intermediate putts.  At first I had a tendency to blast the putts by the hole probably because of the heavier weight but once I got used to my rhythm for the day, my speed improved.  I did feel like I had greater control with the heavier head and my putts inside of 5 feet were more successful than my previous putter.  I also worked with a chalk line on some straight putts to help groove the straight back and through stroke that matches up so well with center shafted putters.
The AT92 is available in right and left hand models and any length options including mid length belly and long putters.  Overall, I'm impressed with the model and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a heavier, center shafted blade style putter.
